As a young child in the early 1970’s, Michael’s family immigrated to San Antonio, TX from South Korea. He considers San Antonio as his hometown. Michael graduated with a BA in Psychology from St. Mary’s University. During college, he served four years as an Infantry Platoon leader in the 149th Infantry Division in the Texas National Guard. After college, Michael received an appointment as Regular Army Commission Officer as a 2nd Lieutenant and served with the 3rd Infantry Division in Germany as a Communication Staff Officer until his service ended in 1989.
Michael has served in the financial services industry since 1995. His experience includes Bank of America, Mass Mutual Financial, Pro Equites, Merrill Lynch, Ameriprise Financial, Wedbush Securities, and Opes One before joining InTouch Investment and Retirement Services. Michael started his career with Mass Mutual selling insurance and investment products. Since 2005, he has been concentrating on managing investment portfolios for his clients.
Since 2013, Michael has been involved with prison ministry, mentoring the inmates and ex-inmates. He also leads men’s ministry at his church.
